Worried about Zika on October 2016?
Information on October 2016
Mosquito Aedes Aegypti causing Zika is extremely rare in Buenos Aires. Up to March 2016 we had only 16 confirmed cases of Zika in Buenos Aires, all contracted in other countries (no autoctonous). During winter in Argentina (June-September) the mosquitoes die due to low temperatures. Mosquitoes can reappear with high temperatures (usually beginning in December). Therefore the probability of getting the disease in October is extremely low.
